We supply more than 2,000 tons of high strength EN 10025 S460M steel plates low alloy steel coils to support the construction of Iraq's thermal power equipment projects. As a "Belt and Road" construction project, the Iraqi thermal power generation project has high requirements on the quality of steel for power generation equipment. In particular, the flue gas baffle door sealing system of EN 10025 S460M steel plates thermal power plants has extremely strict requirements on the composition, yield strength and tensile strength of steel. Our hot rolled low alloy steel coils have won the favor of customers for their excellent mechanical properties, standard sizes, and beautiful shapes.
The sulfur element (S element) comes from the ore and fuel coke of steelmaking. It is a harmful element in EN 10025 S460M steel plates etc. steel. Sulfur exists in steel in the form of iron sulfide (FeS). FeS and Fe form a low melting point (985℃) compound. The hot working temperature of steel is generally above 1150 - 1200℃, so when the steel is hot working, the premature melting of FeS compound causes the workpiece to crack, which is called "hot brittleness". It reduces ductility and toughness of steel and causes cracks during forging and rolling. Sulfur is also detrimental to welding performance and reduces corrosion resistance.
EN 10025 S460M steel plates, High-strength steel plates are widely used in many industries such as construction, automobiles, ships, machinery and equipment, but high-strength steel plates must be selected appropriately. First, the grade is too high, which means that the price will be high because of the high manufacturing cost. Second, the low level means that the safety performance cannot meet the standard. Third, we must strictly follow the design drawings to select high-strength steel plates specifications. Fourth, it is advised the purchaser to test the high-strength steel plates with special equipment.
According to the data of the National Bureau of statistics, from January to February, the output of pig iron, crude steel and steel (excluding repetitive materials) were 132.34 million tons, 154.7 million tons and 167.13 million tons, respectively, up 3.1%, 3.1% and 3.4% year on year; the daily output of EN 10025 S460M steel plates, crude steel was 2.5783 million tons, down 5.15% year on year.
