ASTM A514 steel plate is mainly used in places where steel grade S460ML high tensile strength and high yield are required. The lifting gears of engineering vehicles, and racks for offshore platforms generally use A514 grade Q or A514 Gr Q. The steel grade S460ML hardness of A514 steel plate is between 235-290. A514 steel yield strength is more than 630MPa, and tensile strength is more than 700MPa. A514 steel plate is difficult to process. In the United States, the use of A514 steel plate is very large.

EN 10025-2 steel includes S235 steel (S235JR, S235J0, S235J2), S275 steel (S275JR, S275J0, S275J2), S355 steel (S355JR, S355J0, S355J2, S355K2), S450 steel (S450J0). According to EN 10025-2, the thickness of S450J0 plate is within 3-150mm. The steel grade S460ML, S235 steel, S275 steel and S355 steel plate thickness is ≤250mm. However, the S235J2, S275J2, S355J2 and S355K2 plates limitation is ≤400mm.
