Mechanical properties of 42SiMn steel: tensile strength 885 MPa; yield strength 735 MPa; elongation after fracture: 15; reduction of area: 40; impact energy: 47J. 42SiMn steel belongs to alloy quenched and tempered steel with good properties, high strength, wear resistance and hardenability. Under certain conditions, the strength, wear resistance and hot working performance of 42SiMn steel are better than 40Cr steel, EN10025-4 S420M steel, and can be used instead of 40CrNi steel.
