Hot rolling and cold rolling are all the processes of forming steel plates or profiles, which have a great influence on the structure and properties of steel. The rolling of steel is mainly hot rolling, and cold rolling is usually used to produce small size steel and thin plate. With the development of new technologies such as the precision of hot rolling size, shape and surface quality and the continuous emergence of new products, S275 material, hot rolled steel strip and steel plate are widely used and have more and more competitive strength in the market.
Hot rolled steel for cold forming can be divided into general purpose, stamping, deep drawing and ultra deep drawing according to its use. Common grades include S275 material, DD11, DD12, SPHC, SPHD, SPHE steel. Hot-rolled steel for cold forming produced by our company uses low-carbon component, and has good stamping performance, welding performance and high dimensional accuracy. This material is widely used in various cold forming industries.
The effect of nitrogen on steel performance is similar to that of carbon and phosphorus. With the increase of S275 material nitrogen content, the strength of steel can be improved, plasticity especially toughness can be significantly reduced, weldability becomes worse, and cold brittleness is intensified. Nitrogen with aluminum, niobium, vanadium and other elements can reduce its adverse effects, improve the performance of S275 material steel, can be used as an alloying element of low alloy steel.
Quenching is a common heat treatment process. It is the metal heat treatment process in which the S275 material metal workpiece is heated to a proper temperature and kept for a period of time, then immersed in the quenching medium for rapid cooling. Quenching can improve the strength and hardness of steel in a large range, and adjust the coordination between S275 material strength and hardness, plasticity and toughness. Quenching is generally used as the final heat treatment.
