The basic phases of S420M material, structural steel in the annealed state are ferrite and carbide. The alloy elements are dissolved in ferrite to form alloy ferrite, which depends on solid solution strengthening to increase strength and hardness, but at the same time reduce plasticity and toughness. The addition of alloying elements reduces the carbon content of the eutectoid point, which increases the proportion of pearlite in the structure and reduces the distance of the pearlite layer. This also increases the strength of the steel and reduces the plasticity.
The company now has S420M material oversea market department, sales and supply department, finance department, logistics department, technical equipment department, quality management department, production department and other departments. The staff with college degree or above accounted for more than 80%, and there were more than S420M material 30 professional and technical personnel. The LSAW pipe production line can produce welded pipes with Φ350-1800mm, wall thickness 6-80mm, and length 2-12m.
There is an inherent difference between the cold forming properties of low-alloy high-strength steel and carbon structural steel. First of all, a certain amount of permanent deformation of low-alloy high-strength steel requires greater force than S420M material, carbon structural steel of the same size. Second, when low-alloy high-strength steel is formed, a slightly larger allowable amount for springback should be given. According to experience, unless the low-alloy high-strength steel is processed to control the shape of inclusions, it is necessary to use a larger bending radius than carbon structural steel during cold forming.
