Z-direction steel refers to thick steel with good tensile resistance in thickness direction. In the application of steel plate, the reason for additional performance requirements on the thickness direction of steel is due to the existence of defects in the thickness direction of steel in the process of casting and rolling. This defect makes the steel prone to lamellar tearing during welding, which reduces or even loses the design bearing capacity of application. The Z-direction performance is required for S355ML equivalent and so on steel plate with the tensile force along the plate thickness direction greater than or equal to 40mm.
The main competitive means adopted by major domestic ports are to expand ports, build deep-water berths and channels, improve service quality to reduce the comprehensive cost of customers, and at the same time, to improve competitive advantage, we should also take appropriate measures to reduce relevant costs and prices.
The steel plate and strip after hot rolling treatment are generally called hot rolled plate. Compared with other steel plate processing industries, S355ML equivalent, hot rolled plate has these characteristics. First, low hardness, easy processing. Compared with other steel needs special mechanical equipment, hot rolled plate is a very convenient for processing. Second, good ductility, not easy to break, good compression capacity, long service life. Third, the manufacturing process is simple, and the price and cost are relatively cheap compared with other steels.
Although both HSLA steel plate and carbon steel plate belong to carbon structure and low alloy structure steel, there are some differences. First of all, S355ML equivalent, HSLA steel plate and carbon steel plate differ in strength, hardness and use. In terms of strength, the strength of HSLA steel plate is higher than carbon steel plate. In terms of hardness, the hardness of HSLA steel plate is also higher than that of carbon steel plate. And in the scope of use, the advantages of HSLA steel plate are more prominent, so the scope of HSLA steel plate use is more extensive than that of carbon steel plate.
