Boiler steel plates for room temperature and medium temperature (below creep temperature) are mostly carbon steel, including carbon steel, carbon manganese steel, carbon manganese silicon steel, S420M material properties, etc. They are mainly used in the manufacture of pressure-bearing parts such as boiler drums and header end covers below medium temperature. High temperature (above creep temperature) boiler steel plates are mainly used to manufacture high-temperature pressure-bearing parts such as high-temperature header end caps and steam pipe blocking plates.
Weathering steel generally adopts the process route of fine material into the furnace-smelting (converter, electric furnace-microalloying treatment-argon blowing-LF refining-low superheat continuous casting (feeding rare earth wire)-controlled rolling and cooling. The scrap steel is added into the furnace together with the charge, and smelted according to the conventional process. After the S420M material properties steel is tapped, deoxidizers and alloys are added. After the molten steel is treated with argon blowing, the molten steel is cast. By adding rare earth elements to the steel, the S420M material properties weathering steel is purified and the content of inclusions is greatly reduced.
In the year of 2015, customer from Peru oil refinery contact with us from Internet. After one month’s negotiation and quotation, they chose us as there supplier of raw steel plate S420M material properties grade ASTM A36. We get an trail order of 300 tons in April. When the first ship arrived, they inspect the steel plate and very happy with the quality we supply. Then they put another 1700 tons order, we sent to them within 90 days. Our company management group visit the customer in the beginning of 2016 and the visit is very successful.
